Dr. Patrick McCroskey Joins Board of Directors
October 23, 2006Zymeworks is honoured to announce the addition of Dr. Patrick McCroskey to its Board of Directors. Dr. McCroskey, currently the Chief Financial Officer of Ceres Inc., was most recently the Vice President of Business Development at Diversa Corporation, a world-class enzyme Company based in San Diego California. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning for Intarsia Corporation, a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company and Flextronics International, and held various technical and business positions during his earlier 10-year tenure with The Dow Chemical Company. Dr. McCroskey holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Steve Withers Joins Scientific Advisory Board
August 22, 2006Zymeworks is honoured to announce the addition of Dr. Steve Withers to it Scientific Advisory Board. A joint professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Dr. Withers combines biochemistry, organic chemistry and biophysical chemistry to probe and manipulate the structure and mechanism of enzymes. Dr. Withers has been the recipient of many distinguished awards including the Hoffman LaRoche Award of the Canadian Society of Chemistry, the Charmian Medal Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Corday Morgan Medal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Dr. Withers has also served as the CEO and Scientific Director of the Canadian Protein Engineering Network of Centres of Excellence (PENCE) from 2000-2005.
Dr. Evelyn Mayaan Joins Zymeworks Team
August 11, 2006Zymeworks is pleased to announce to the addition of Dr. Evelyn Mayaan to its team. Dr. Mayaan brings significant knowledge and expertise in Ab initio quantum chemistry to Zymeworks. Dr. Mayaan recieved her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis where she completed her research in "Modeling the Mechanisms of RNA Catalysis" at Dr. Darrin York's laboratory.

Mr. Siddharth Srinivasan Joins Zymeworks' Team
April 19th, 2006Zymeworks is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Siddharth Srinivasan to its team. He has recently completed his M.A.Sc. at UBC in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Included in his past experience are positions as DSP Division Leader and the Lead Embedded Systems Developer at Codito Technologies, in addition to coding positions with IBM Global Services in India. He brings with him experience in programming for parallel environments and in Monte Carlo simulations.
Dr. Johannes Müllegger Joins Zymeworks' Team
April 4th, 2006Zymeworks is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Johannes Müllegger to its team. With 14 publications and two book chapters to his credit, Dr. Müllegger brings his experience and skills in the field of Enzyme Engineering to Zymeworks. He has recently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Dr. Steve Withers' laboratory, internationally recognized for its expertise in engineering carbohydrate synthesis enzymes.

January 15th, 2006Zymeworks has been invited to present at the 19th Vancouver Angel Forum on February 27th, 2006. Started in 1997, the Angel Forum - Vancouver introduces emerging companies to private equity investors, each spring and fall. It is the oldest angel group in Canada with 100+ investors and its sponsors include leading companies and industry associations in BC. 30+ pre-screened technology, service and industrial companies seeking equity funding up to $1 million, present "in-person" and demonstrate their products/services to 60+ pre-screened investors in one day. Only selected companies and registered investors can attend.
